Another fabulous event brought smiles to the residents at South Hill Village this month! On Saturday afternoon, we welcomed two very special visitors to our West Lawn—Banjo and Fiddle, two gentle rescue donkeys brought to us by Lydia and Elena. As everyone gathered beneath the shade of the trees, Lydia shared the inspiring story of how Banjo and Fiddle came into her care and explained the meaningful role these rescued animals now play in bringing comfort and joy to others. Residents at South Hill Village delighted in petting, feeding, and spending time with these affectionate animals. The donkeys’ calm and friendly nature created many smiles, sparked wonderful conversations, and brought back cherished memories for many. It was a peaceful and heartwarming afternoon filled with laughter, learning, and special moments in the company of some truly unforgettable four-legged friends.

We had the opportunity to experience Harmony Beverage Donkeys, where Banjo and Fiddle stole the show. Our grandkids and friends loved their sweet personalities, while serving us drinks, which we gladly rewarded with a carrot treat. I highly recommend them for your special occasion!!!

Banjo and Fiddle serenaded us and served drinks at my son’s birthday party! They are as cute as can be and are excellent juice box bar tenders. The kids enjoyed giving them carrots and loving on them. I recommend contacting Banjo and Fiddle to serve drinks and snacks at your party!

I’m not sure who is sweeter Lydia or the bigger species, Fiddle and Banjo. They were all a hit at our wedding event, children and adults alike! The donkeys were calm and friendly, and Lydia made everyone feel comfortable to pet and give treats to the donkeys. Everyone had so much fun and it was great for picture taking and posting for sure!
